(Bazzite on iMac) trouble getting onboard audio and WiFi up

Hi all,
I installed Bazzite on a late 2017, 21" imac this week. I'm excited for the "games just work" experience, but because this is my first serious adventure into an immutable system and because apple uses oddball hardware, I'm running into some audio and wifi oddities. Hoping you could help.
Audio's the biggest problem at this point. My imac's built in speakers use the cs8409 codec on intel's onboard audio controller. Bazzite's recognizing that audio controller with the wrong codec, nothing was playing, and I played around on the command line yesterday to no success. I don't have the first clue how driver installs work on an immutable system, and I can't find install instructions specific to atomic/UB/bazzite for it. Any ideas?
