Heroes of Loot 2 Saved Games?

I'm playing Heroes of Loot 2 and at every level it says "Game Saved" and I am supposed to have several "come back to life when you die" thingys, but... I died and the game just restarted as if it was my first time playing it. Is there no way to resume from asaved game?
I'm running the flatpak Heroic under Ubuntu 22.04. Thanks.
