HDR display setting stuck enabled

The HDR setting seems to be greyed out, but enabled on my non-hdr TV.
Initially the screen was very flickery and glitchy until i turned on Force Composite and the Native Color Temperature in settings.
Is the HDR setting intended to be greyed out? Id love to see if it fixes the glitching if i can get it disabled
