Hi all, new to Bazzite and Linux in general. Having trouble with this and haven't seen any other information online so figured I'd ask here.
I'm using the nvidia-open desktop KDE build using an RTX 4080 Super powering a dual monitor setup, my primary 3440x1440 175Hz Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 HDR ultrawide monitor and a secondary basic 1440p 60Hz LCD monitor. For the primary monitor, I use a HDMI to mini-HDMI cable specifically to enable HDR10+ in Windows which works in a few games I play.
The issue I have is that when I run the primary monitor at 175Hz and enable HDR, small white artifacts begin to appear at random every few seconds, which last for maybe a fraction of second at most, but they are enough to notice and be rather annoying. This happens no matter the content being displayed, even a static desktop will show this issue.
If I disable HDR, this issue does not occur. If I reduce the monitor refresh rate down to 120Hz, I can then enable HDR without issue. I have enabled VRR on all these scenarios - yet to test with it off. The secondary display works fine.
This makes me think it's a limitation of the current nvidia driver, but I'm hoping someone else out there running a similar setup has had these issues and if they have any fixes for it - I have no major issues with my current workarounds but ideally I'd like to match my Windows setup which can achieve 175Hz HDR without trouble. Thanks in advance!
