What is the proper method to share all photos from external libraries with all users?

🚧Setup☑️Ready
Family from around the US want to see all of our pictures in one place and see current events in all our lives.

I currently have truenas set up to scan multiple folders from different families as different external libraries. But creating new user accounts means they do not see any pictures from the external libraries.

I do not want to re-run ML for every library as the amount of storage for metadata is already past 400gb for just my account, the only user right now.

What is the proper way to set this up for their own accounts to login and tag/like photos and/or just general viewing of all external libraries but not worry about mass deletes or such? I’m tempted to mark the file system as read only for the external libraries but I hear them I can’t change metadata (have lots of scanned photos we wanted to change dates and such)…

Anyone have the “correct” method for multiple users and sharing external libraries that doesn’t duplicate metadata and such?

We already have VPNs set up for all users but stopped once we created the first user account and there was no pictures for that user when they logged in.
