Is there a better way to unzip a zip file with Workflows / Workers?

I'm new to Workflows (and workers). Just starting out with using CloudFlare for compute. Noob question, but has anyone had success getting Workflows to unzip a zip file from R2 to R2?
I have a 100 mb zip file whose contents are 500mb+ so I can't load into memory and need to stream. That sounds reasonable in theory. But in practice, I've been banging my head against the wall for 2 hours trying to get this workflow step to work. Now I've thrown something at the wall and it's 30m+ of wall time (just to unzip a 100mb zip file!!)... and still running....
I'm 370 loc down a rabbit hole and hours of desperation into trying to implement what you'd think is a pretty common use case. There's gotta be a better way. Has someone figured this out before?
