Assumed Graphic memory leak

if i leave my pc on for more than 30 mins then try to open a game i cant get over 60 fps, assassins creed was running at 15 fps. I've tried updating multiple times, different versions of proton. The only thing that helps is restarting my pc and relaunching everything. My gpu can easily get 165fps (my monitor is 165hz) in any game on at least medium settings. been debating changing my os to arch atp, been getting too annoying
