Setting both iPhone and iPad to backup albums causes errors
Hi,
I am trying to get Immich working properly on both my iPhone and iPad because I want to stop paying for iCloud storage.
Last night I backed up everything photo/video/album from my iPhone to Immich. Now I installed on the iPad and again selected to backup all albums. But this is where I seem to have issues.
I thought the app would detect duplicate albums and duplicate photos/videos that had synced to my iPad vs iCloud and avoid backing up the things that were already backed up to Immich via my iPhone.
But after letting the backup process run for a while on my iPad I decided to check how it was doing and saw duplicates of every photo seemed to be uploaded in my feed.
After seeing that I went and quickly deselected every album from backing up, then force closed the app and re-opened it. Suddenly all the duplicates were gone from my feed. Did deselecting the albums remove the dupes? Or was the appearance of duplicates possibly just a visual bug and force closing the app fixed the visual bug?
Also checking the logs on the iPad app I see all these album errors that are in the screenshot. Not sure if that’s related to the problem or a completely separate problem? I cut-off most of the album names for privacy but left the first letter of each album name visible so you can see they are all different.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
