so I don't know where to ask questions so I'll just ask here
I'm on NVIDIA (I know) RTX 2000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU, and I have a few problems, most of them not related to video surprisingly?
If I alt tab, or open up the steam overlay in gaming mode, audio goes out until I close the game. gaming mode is less likely to do this than desktop mode
Overlay UI elements are surrounded by black bars as they enter and exit the screen, not a big deal, but it happens
Lots of stuttering in games that I've had work fine elsewhere, Dungeon Siege, Xanadu Next, Thief Gold, Sid Meier's Pirates (Remake), some, such as Xanadu Next, are entirely unplayable due to this. I'm hoping ntsync fixes this, as I've read that it's more effective the older the game is.
In desktop mode, games makes out at this weird resolution 1707x1067, for reference, I have a 2560x1600 165hz display, this doesn't seem to be any factor of those numbers.
I have a ThinkPad P1 Gen 7, if that helps. Intel CPU, NVIDIA GPU, great use case to not use Linux/SteamOS/Bazzite, but I heard most of the issues were ironed out, and I'm very happy with the experience. if I could just fix that audio issue, that'd be the only issue that actually bothers me out of all of these solved. (The stuttering making games unplayable doesn't bug me because I know eventually that'll be fixed, weird resolution doesn't stop me from playing the games, and the overlay black bars don't actually mess up anything)
