DLL Override a game installed with Ubisoft Connect

Hello! So I have Ubisoft Connect installed with Heroic (pic related). Then I installed Assassin's Creed 2 and it works fine, now I want to install a mod that requires dinput8.dll to be put in the game's root directory. For it to work I need to set WINEDLLOVERRIDES variable. But I have the Ubisoft launcher installed from Heroic, not the game itself. Is there a way to do this?
