Logitech g502 weird sensitivity issues

Hey everyone, just switched and am liking it so far but I'm having some weird problems. I have a g502 lightspeed mouse and it has scroll issues. In minecraft i can scroll one way just fine but then if i scroll the other way it has one click of nothing and then the 2nd click starts going that way. then if i go the other way it does nothing for the first click then it works fine on the subsequent clicks. On hytale it's just SUPER sensitive. if it's at slot 1 and i click 1 it goes to slot 7. i can barely move the scroll wheel and it will go 1 slot but then i release the scroll wheel and it clicks back. i googled and found a reddit thread and it says to edit blacklist.conf and add a line but i don't have that file, i have an ax25-blacklist.conf... Here's the reddit thread, i know it's in the pop os subreddit but someone says they got it to fix on bazzite. I'm just at my wits end with this as it doesn't let me play my games right.
