Pause Desktop Background Slideshow via HASS.agent Command
⚙️Setup | Question
Hi again!
I'm also hoping the community may be able help me temporarily pause the Desktop Wallpaper Slideshow:
Seemingly straightforward, but can't figure it out. My PC has 4 monitors. I like the Windows Desktop Slideshow feature (lots of pictures of concerts I've been to), and don't want to turn it off. ...unless I'm gaming. When playing games, the changing backgrounds on the non-main monitor are distracting, and they often cause a momentary slowdown in the game itself. I'd love a way to be able to temporarily stop the Desktop Background Slideshow, then reinstate it when finished playing. I would use the existing "Active Process" sensor to determine when a game is running and trigger a HA automation, so just need to know how to use a Command to achieve the slideshow pause. Googling revealed this: https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/pausing-wallpaper-slideshow-when-other-programs-found/?ID=6f682a7b-07af-4f81-86c1-2affb8c70226, so apparently this is possible. I'm not sure what that app is and don't want anything extra running (the whole idea is to lower other system demands), so would love to achieve this through HASS.agent, if possible. As above, any help would be amazing!
Thanks, DyadicOne.
