Bazzite very slow to start, fresh install

Is it normal for Bazzite on an OLED Steam Deck to sit for a suspiciously long time before playing its startup chime and launching Steam?
I power it on, it does the UEFI spinner, then sits on a black screen for an uncomfortably long time before finally playing the Bazzite chime and animation, and kicking off Steam.
* Fresh install, latest non-legacy media as of yesterday.
* Used Fedora Media Writer.
* Chose options to wipe the disk and use all space.
* Followed after-install guide, logged into Steam, restarted, checked resolution scale, etc. Restarted again.
Just booted it up and it sat on a black screen for long enough that I gave it a weird look when it finally played the chime and loaded up.
