using gamescope in launch options breaks gamepad support
questionbug
I am using bazzite desktop and using gamesocope for hdr tonemapping in monster hunter world.
Launch options : gamescope --backend wayland -f -W 2560 -H 1440 -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled --hdr-itm-enabled --adaptive-sync -- %command% I added my user to the input group and rebooted. I tried having steam input translate my gamepad into keyboard outputs, as advised here (https://www.answeroverflow.com/m/1337889506703052840) still does nothing. I can't get a gamepad to work in the game when using gamescope in the launch options. I don't see myself playing it with a keyboard and mouse and the hdr looks really good on this game (even if just tone mapping).
Is there any workarounds ? Even if it involves starting the game from outside of steam ? Starting gamescope first outside steam and then starting the steam game inside the display ?
I'm running a game with gamescope (monster hunter rise), and when I do, my controller no longer gets picked up by the game. I'm using gamescope with this command:
