Hi! I’m currently using the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, but Linux support is pretty rough. There’s a community project that adds some basic functionality, but compared to Windows a lot of features either don’t work properly or are missing entirely.
I’m looking for a headset with good spatial audio for gaming, and also some way to adjust EQ or sound profiles. I mostly use my headset for gaming and music, and on Linux I really miss having proper surround in games. For music, everything just feels a bit flatter and less “full” compared to what I’m used to on Windows.
I’m definitely not an audiophile, but I do care about sound quality and would like something that sounds good enough to satisfy people who are more serious about audio too. Basically I want solid imaging for games and clean, detailed sound for music, especially lows.
My current headset is wireless and I’d prefer to stay wireless if possible. I know Bluetooth can introduce latency, so low-latency wireless options (like dedicated dongles) would be ideal.
Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Also my budget is around $600, I'm happy with spending less of course, but I want a proper headset (and mic for gaming) setup.
