Ive been having continuous system freezes that I cannot determine the root cause for.
I started by installing Bazzite and noticing consistent issues, switched over to Nobara and had the same issue. A complete system freeze with no ability to move the mouse, always requiring a hard shutdown.
This happens between 10 minutes and a couple hours after boot usually. With it happening in games (FFXIV), outside of games after I'm done playing, while just transferring or unzipping a file shortly after boot, using chrome, downloading a file, even had a freeze happen once each on my initial install of both Bazzite and Nobara requiring me to restart the OS install process entirely.
I've tried increasing ZRAM, disabling and adjusting EXPO profiles, running default BIOS, updating my BIOS, running earlyoom, monitoring CPU temps, using only one display, disabling adaptive sync and capping my refresh rate lower. None of which were successful. I realised at some point I had stupidly been running with my monitors plugged into my mobo instead of my GPU which I believe caused some green screens, but resolving that did not fix the issue.
As mentioned above switching to Nobara did not resolve the issue so I had installed Windows 11 onto my PC and had no issues, the PC ran fine and I did not suffer from crashes after hours of use including running FFXIV, so I can only conclude that either Windows has some sort of extra stopgap for some sort of hardware defect I have, or the issue lies with [Bazzite/Nobara/possibly Fedora] OS(s).
I'm not sure how much it will help since the freezes seem to not cause any noticeable spike on my system monitor but here is the pastbin from my last boot into freeze as well as the downloaded .txt. https://paste.centos.org/view/9a3ac45d
