Complete Linux noob, Steam not opening or occasionally throwing error code: 0

I've freshly installed bazzite twice, with the same issue. Clicking steam program or trying to open big picture mode does nothing, except sometimes showing the error code: 0. I'm using an arc b580 and I've read about others having difficulties, but all their suggestions have not worked. What I've tried:
-ujust fix-reset-steam
-Toggled Resizable Bar off and back on again
-Updated system/drivers
-Deleted and reinstalled steam
-Installed both KDE and Gnome versions of Bazzite
Not sure where else to go at this point, if you have advice it would be much appreciated.
