Hello, friends.
I've recently found a second hand unused Polo Ralph Lauren polo coat in glen plaid for 630 usd from a private seller. I've had it authenticated, and it is legit. Absolutely gorgeous coat.
Now, I've also seen that Thomas Farthing have opened their preorders for their own overcoats for 790 usd. And also, absolutely gorgeous coat.
Now here comes the problem, not just the pricing:
The seller for the polo coat is absolutely a nightmare to come in contact with, and hostile to any customer. I don't know why they are like that - refunds or returns are out of the question, and it has been available for purchase for over a year - so the condition could have deteriorated with improper storage.
Now for the T.F. overcoat. I do not live in the U.K., so VAT are going to add another big jump to the price point, and extra customs due to the coat not being made in the UK. So the priced so be estimated to jump from 790 to 1151 usd in total. But Thomas Farthing customer service are always a pleasure, and willing to return and refund for any possible defects.
Inb4: "just go thrifting" - No. The thrift game in rural EU is atrocious if you don't want to look like a hooligans alcoholic uncle.
Now which one should I choose to invest in?
