Kernal panic during gameplay causing performance stutters

Have been enjoying hytale early access recently, but suffered a kernal panic during play and after resetting my machine had lost my world. Since then play has been marred by frequent stuttering, I'm wondering what I could do to prevent future kernal panics and if there's a way to allocate more resources to this specific application to remedy these issues, or something else.
