Wallpaper Engine not working properly on Bazzite

Ok so, Wallpaper Engine does run when booted up and I can do things like download wallpapers and whatnot. However, I can't actually run them on my desktop. Only way to watch them is through preview.
On top of that, for some unholy reason, the glowing border of the Wallpaper Engine window bleeds through all windows and I can't find a way to turn off the glowing effect through the Wallpaper Engine settings.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
(On a side note, I have tried the Wallpaper Engine KDE plugin before and it doesn't work. I'm pretty sure it's discontinued)
