virtual keyboard on login screen

Hello! Is there a way to get around the bug of the virtual keyboard not showing on the lock screen after switching to desktop mode? I see theres a virtual keyboard button at the bottom left but it doesn't do anything. I have to use KDE connect on my phone to login which is kinda annoying. The lock screen also auto dismisses the password field every now and then. Ant help would be appreciated, ty!
