After a three-year break and multiple attempts to appeal against an unjust ban for third-party programmes.
I have not received any specific information about which application allegedly violated the terms of service, nor how many reports were made against my account and for what reason. How can I defend myself when I do not know the charges?
My experience with your support team:
- Ticket #1: Closed automatically
- Ticket #2: Standard response about ‘final decision’
- Ticket #3+: Ignored or closed immediately
Riot Games advertises the existence of an appeal process, but in practice it is an empty promise. Every attempt at an appeal ends with:
- Automatic ticket closure
- Copying of standard responses without analysis of the case
- Ignoring of subsequent reports
- No possibility of dialogue with a real employee
Vanguard automatically bans accounts for detecting third-party applications, often without actually verifying whether the application actually violates the terms of service. Many of these applications are standard system software, RGB management tools, hardware drivers, or other background programmes that do not affect gameplay in any way.
If Riot Games truly cares about fair play and justice, it should also guarantee fair treatment for its players, not just the ability to appeal penalties to the creators who record and promote the game.
Is there any point in trying to defend your position regarding bans when support does not allow blocked users to have their say?
