Afterglow Xbox 360 controller not working

I just installed Bazzite for the first time on a living room PC that I'm setting up to use when playing games with my wife or friends. I have an old Afterglow wired Xbox 360 controller that's stuck with me for ~10 years through thick and thin. It works great, feels good to my hands, and is still holding up better than other controllers that are way newer. The problem is that it doesn't work with Bazzite natively and my efforts to get it working are going nowhere. I know it works with all other systems as I use it constantly and would know it if were broken or damaged. I don't have a lot of time during the day, but I am familiar enough with Linux and bash in general to do a fair amount of things so I can get whatever info is necessary to add it to just my system at least if I can get the help to do with it.
