Issue uploading files from SMB shares in Dolphin (KDE)

I'm using Bazzite with KDE and I'm facing a workflow issue with SMB shares.
I have added several SMB shares as shortcuts in Dolphin (I use them to work). I'm using a browser from Baazar (Firefox/Brave).
The problem:
When I try to upload a file directly from the SMB shortcut in Dolphin to a website, the upload fails or the file is not "seen" by the browser. I am forced to copy the file to my local home directory first, and then upload it.
One last thing : these shortcuts are for my work. I need to activate a VPN to reach servers. But I don't have this issue with Gnome.
