Egpu not detected when booting to gaming mode

I just got an RX 9060 to use with my Mini PC (running Bazzite) with Ryzen processor/780m igpu. The egpu is connected with an nvme adapter to a dock. I ran the allways egpu script using methods 2 and 3. I can get the system to recognize the egpu by restarting from desktop mode. If I turn the PC off completely, it starts using the igpu.
Using the restart method I was able to confirm that the egpu works well in gaming mode when playing games so everything else seems to be in order aside this slight hiccup.
