Bazzite Nvidia DX Stable
question
I’m running into a GPU driver issue after rebasing and could use some guidance.
System:
• Bazzite DX NVIDIA GNOME (stable)
• GTX 1070 (Pascal)
• Secure Boot disabled
• Wayland session
• Booting via ostree deployments

Current Problem
System boots, but graphical session never loads — screen goes black after boot animation.
I can access TTY normally.
NVIDIA driver does NOT appear to load:
lsmod | grep nvidia
nvidia-smi
What I already tried
• ujust configure-nvidia
• Rebooted into ostree:0 and ostree:1
• Confirmed kernel args include:
rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau
nvidia-drm.modeset=1
Created /etc/gdm/custom.conf and tested Wayland settings
• SecureBoot = disabled
• System boots fine into TTY
Rpm-ostree status:
ostree-image-signed:docker://ghcr.io/ublue-os/bazzite-dx-nvidia-gnome:stable
Version: 43.20260217
What I’m trying to understand
• Is Pascal (GTX 1070) still fully supported in current DX NVIDIA image?
• Why would NVIDIA modules not load at all even after configure-nvidia?
• Should I rebase to a different image or force a driver deployment?

NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver
