Lag spikes every time i tab out

So when im ok valorant i tab out to go to discord or my spotify or anything else etc etc, but everything seems to lag really bad like my valorant spikes up to like 100-300 ping and sometimes my discord does too, but then i tab back into valorant and everythings normal again
