Gorky 17 - Main Menu Freezes [GOG]

I just bought and installed this game, and the main menu screen freezes whenever I boot it up. I can move the cursor for a tiny bit, only for it to just freeze in place.

Oh yeah, the intro video also looks scuffed as well.
