Rocket league not launching

My friend has a heroic account and has downloaded rocket league. It worked fine for the last 3 months or so but, since last week, after an update appeared late for him when he tries run the game 002c:err:wineboot:process_run_key Error running cmd L"C:\windows\system32\winemenubuilder.exe -a -r" (126). appears in the rocket league log after he tries to report a problem running the game. Anyone know how to fix it?
