Sub agent spawning
Title: Sub-agent spawning & elevated mode not working
Issue:
Elevated mode failing โ Configured in openclaw.json for Signal and webchat, but /elevated full returns "not available" on both
Sub-agents not executing โ When I spawn a sub-agent, it creates a session key but doesn't actually run the task
Pairing errors โ Sub-agents fail with pairing/gateway errors even with elevated config
System:
Version: 2026.2.21-2
Config: ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json
Gateway: Running, healthy (ws://127.0.0.1:18789)
Model: Primary=haiku, Fallbacks=sonnet,opus
What I've tried:
Restarted gateway after config changes
Checked elevated.enabled=true in config
Tried spawning from both Signal and webchat
Questions:
Why is elevated mode not activating despite correct config?
How do I spawn sub-agents that actually execute tasks?
What am I missing for proper sub-agent pairing?
