Why did me and my friend get same RR minus

Me and my friend were playing a comp games and his net went and he was afk for about 11 rounds and even tho I topfragged and he was below we got the same RR minus and I noticed that almost all the games even tho my friend is below and we are the same rank he gets less RR minus then me and I get way more what might be reason? community-help
