Getting Discord Voice Chat working with OpenClaw — what's your setup?
Hi all, I'm trying to get 2-way voice chat working between Discord and my OpenClaw agent (v2026.3.8, macOS).
Config:
Bot is online, text chat works fine, permissions are set (Connect + Speak, Message Content Intent enabled).
Issue: /vc join always fails with "Failed to join voice channel: The operation was aborted"
What I see in logs:
- DiscordVoiceReadyListener took ~15,000ms for event READY — happens on every gateway restart, even without autoJoin configured
- InteractionEventListener took ~17,000ms for event INTERACTION_CREATE — when running /vc join
- No voice-specific error logs, the join silently times out
For those who have Discord voice working:
- Which OpenClaw version?
- Any specific bot permissions or intents needed beyond Connect + Speak?
- Any network config (Tailscale, etc.) that matters?
- Did you hit this timeout issue and how did you resolve it?
