I noticed this after I noticed inconsistency and a gradual reduction in top volume in my headphones.
When I lower the volume of a media player in a browser, it lowers it in the system settings. When I raise the volume in the media player, it raises the volume in the system settings - by less. So if I repeatedly change the volume of a media player in my browser, my OS volume for that application gradually quiets.
Now that I know what's causing it I can fix and work around it easy enough but I'd rather know what's happening and if I can fix it. Thanks in advance if you've got any ideas on where to start! Given how useless search engines are right now problems this specific are kind of a nightmare lol.
