ahhh... indeed, the old creplaceline did a selectString against the variable 'line' which could be changed in code and when I added the rest of the *replaceLine functions I set them to use selectCurrentLine instead. That particular change in behaviour had not occurred to me, and the previous behaviour seems incorrect to me, but if you wanna open an issue in github for discussion we can certainly do that
