Ohh so there's a control in your thing that the GM can pull a certain layer up/down?
Also idk if

is the right time for manipulating the canvas, canvasReady
might be more safe. Though that does depend if you need this to happen before the canvas is rendered or not (e.g. simplefog needs to make sure the canvas isn't visible before it gets done painting its fog)UU
