this might actually not be terrible to do I'm firmly in the weeds of the private Roll API but only using 2 methods marked private. That's respectable IMO

Mmmm, users don't have permission to edit chat messages, though they do have permission to delete them... Half true, it was the roll attribute specifically that the user couldn't update. Unsure if intended or regression.
