for example - shortcuts for the pencil icon, the done button and numbers 1-9 for the first 9 faces displayed would be ideal. it will turn this into: on the picture screen -> E (edit faces pencil icon) -> 1 (edit face 1) -> 3 (choose the third face - usually immich suggersts the right face in the top 9) -> repeat numbers as needed -> D for done -> left arror for the next picture

For future reference, this works well using exiftool. 
exiftool -if 'not $CreateDate' -if '$filename =~ /^(?>VID|IMG)-\d{8}-WA\d{4,}\./' -r -overwrite_original_in_place -progress '-AllDates<${filename;s/WA.*//} 12:00:00' '/path/to/your/files/folder'
