correct. full steps: clean install 1) 2 small albums with 146 pictures were uploaded from the app 2) ~7000 photos were uploaded from a computer, most would have been overlapped with the previous 146 3) more albums totaling ~7500 photos were uploaded through the app. These would have included all 7000 previously uploaded pictures.
a) as it was counting down the remaining items, it went into the negatives final state - ~7500 photos in immich app shows: Total 465 backup 569 remainder -104

I too received this as well (-114 at peak). I had photos backed up on a PC and uploaded them from PC to immich, then sync'd most of the same photos from the phone and it just kept counting down into the negatives with "remaining items".
It's as if it mis-counted the original number of files on my phone to sync but then counted down correctly.
