Keep getting ''Main engine crash'' error when starting up tModLoader

I was previously getting the issue where you open tmod and then a console window pops up and then closes and it doesnt launch. Then I installed the audio workaround from GitHub. Now I'm getting the "main engine crash" error every time I try to launch. I got rid of all the mods, and it still tells me it may be a mod's fault. Any help?...

tModLoader can't detect my headphones.

Since updating to the most recent TML version, whenever I start it up I get no audio coming in through my headphones. Furthermore, unplugging the headphone cable while TML is running causes an instant crash. I've done pretty extensive troubleshooting and concluded that the issue definitely lies within this version of TML, not my headphones or my system or Terraria itself or anything like that. Tmodloader Loss Connection

So I was trying to host a world for me and my friend on tmod loader but every time he tries to join it just says lost connection we tried it with no mod, with mod, same thing always. He tried to host a server but once again the loss connection happened. So I have no idea how we can fix this. (its on the 1.4 tmodloader)
