Suspend not able to come back with keyboard input

I was trying to figure out why over the last month or so I have not had success being able to come back from suspend. I was following this thread and rolled back https://discord.com/channels/1072614816579063828/1415975161017929859/1420931072811733064 However, I was unable to sucessfully suspend. The fans & lights are on. I've done troubleshooting via chatgpt, to get me at least here that it could be the gpu? this is the output of journalctl -b -1 | grep -i "suspend|resume" https://paste.centos.org/view/f2ceb114...

Chromium browsers running at 48% of max refresh rate on Gnome with VRR

I recently rebased my KDE installation to bazzite-gnome:stable just to see how things are on the GNOME side, made a new user to avoid config mixups, and logged in. Everything seemed very nice, except that flatpak Brave and Chromium browsers (ozone platform wayland) run at at a maximum of 83fps and feel noticeably laggy on my 170hz monitor when VRR is enabled on it. I have two monitors, 1440p 170hz and 4k 60hz. When VRR off, they run 170fps. Turning VRR on or off on my second monitor makes no difference. I have tested this on openSUSE tumbleweed and regular fedora and the same issue occurs when using GNOME (it's fine on plasma), even when using non-flatpak versions of said browsers. I don't think Bazzite itself or flatpak are the problem, but I am wondering if there is a workaround/fix for it?...

Trying to install anything inside ublue-os/arch-distrobox fails

I tried several Arch distrobox variants but so far, only docker and quay.io is behaving. When I try to install anything with pacman inside of an arch-distrobox, it always fails with 404, but it works fine in the other variants. Am I missing something here?...
Solution:
pacman -Syu doesn't help?

KDE Performance on certain windowed applications is extremely laggy.

I moved from using the GNOME graphical interface to KDE as I was having that common issue where the mouse will go off the screen to a secondary monitor when playing a game. Only reason I'm bringing this up is because this issue was not present on there but is here. The issue I'm having is where some applications are laggy while others are not. For an example I could use FIreFox, Google Chrome or playing a game and its completely fine. But two applications which i use that are having this slowdown is Steam and Discord. If anyone knows if I'm doing something wrong or if there is a fix it would be much appreciated!...

My computer is no longer booting into Bazzite

Hi there. I've had a Bazzite/Windows setup in my computer for some time, but I can no longer boot into Bazzite. I've tried many methods to boot into it, but it seems that my computer isn't recognizing the OS. I think this happened after I updated Bazzite and booted Windows from GRUB. Since then, I've also updated Windows. It could be any of that, but I don't know what caused this problem, and I need help determining how to fix my computer. I've tried running Boot Repair from a pen drive with a live Linux environment. My home partition is encrypted, and I've de-encrypted and mounted it. Still, Boot Repair gave this warning: ```...

OLED 32gb mod question

I recently found out that the OLED can now be modded with 32gb of ram. Like the LCD model. Does bazzite work with this on the OLED model as well?

[discord feature req] A cleaner web experience for this forum

Hey! I saw this forum uses AnswerOverflow to sync Discord threads to the web. Iโ€™m building Paladin, a smoother, cleaner alternative that makes Discord forums easier to browse on the web. Itโ€™s free to use and can run alongside AnswerOverflow, so you donโ€™t have to switch anything to try it out. If itโ€™s helpful, I can spin up a version of Paladin on your forum so you can see how it looks for your community. Is there anything about your current setup youโ€™d like improved? Iโ€™d love to see if Paladin can help. ๐Ÿ˜€ Example Paladin preview attached...

Soft Freeze on Ryzen AI 395 max

Hello, I am on an Asus rog flow z13, with the Ryzen AI 395 max+ (the same cpu that is in the new framework desktop if I'm not mistaken). A few months ago I was using Bazzite Deck and I would occaisonally get soft freezes, and if I pressed the power button it would sleep and wake back up unfrozen after thinking for a bit. After using windows for a while, I recently installed Bazzite (non deck) and have the same issue. I have some logs with the freeze.

No luck with adding rule to set CPU DMA latency

Hi, I'm attempting to add this udev rule to /etc/udev/rules.d/, but it doesn't seem to be applying from what I can tell, even after running sudo udevadm control --reload-rules and sudo udevadm trigger. Is there a way to do this through tuned? For what it's worth, my main goal at the moment is to reduce buffer overruns, since I work with low-latency, realtime audio in Reaper. I'm not trying to fruitlessly improve game performance, or something. Does bazzite keep /dev/cpu_dma_latency from having rules applied to it, or am I doing something wrong? Should I do this through tuned instead, somehow?...
Solution:
you can probably then add a [cpu] section and add force_latency=99

How do you connect to a hidden SSID?

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to connect to a WiFi that is hidden. I've tried searching online and on the documentation, but there's nothing related to hidden SSID specifically. Does anyone know how to do this?
Solution:
at the end I right click, there will be a connect option normally. I'm on desktop with no wifi so the option is absent here

Rebase to stock Fedora

I am running Bazzite on the Framework 12 at the moment however obviously the gaming performance is as expected however the immutable nature of the OS and the reliance on building machines in distroboxes kills my battery life, Am I able to rebase or migrate to a base build of Fedora (which I believe that bazzite is based on
