7/15 update affected keyboard behavior?
Hi all,
I am using Bazzite 42.20250715 in GNOME Stable.
I've been using a QMK keyboard (connection via USB) for the last few months that utilizes a HYPR keypress for a handful of GNOME and nvim shortcuts (HYPR presses gui, alt, ctrl, and shift simultaneously)....
Possible Bazaar Bug
I've just loaded up my PC and although Bazaar has been on for a few days now and worked without a problem, it's just decided not to load (crashes on startup). Running via the terminal gives the following error

No Desktop on Startup
Hello! When I startup or restart my computer there is no desktop or taskbar. My startup programs run fine. I've tried to start KDE manually, but has anyone had this happen to them? Thank you!

Scroll not functioning
Hi, this morning when I turned my PC on, my scroll wheel function is no longer working. I use a Logitech G502 Wireless and use Solaar to help it function a little more smoothly. The issue shows with and without Solaar running. The mouse works in every other aspect besides scrolling up and down. Middle mouse click still works, my side buttons still work, the changed button presses in the system mouse settings still apply as well, just not scrolling.
Other things I have tried so far that have not worked:
Restarting, shutting down and powering back on PC
Tried a different Wireless G502 (still had my old one laying around)...

Running OpenGL-based applications in Distrobox
Hopefully this is the right place to ask this - the containers channel said not to ask about Distrobox there.
Some of my hobby projects involve developing and using OpenGL applications, the two most important ones being built on SDL2 and Qt respectively. Since development involves installing GCC and a whole host of dependencies, I've been trying to set up a Distrobox environment to do this, rather than installing everything on top of Bazzite itself.
For the SDL2 case, performance is not great when I run the application from Distrobox via the debugger in VS Codium. General FPS is alright (probably around 20), but the application exhibits regular hitches of a few seconds each time, which makes it unusable....
how do I launch apps at startup withou them being fullscreen
I have discord and solaar made to be like this, but they open fullscreen and I'd like them to be in taskbar, or to auto alt+f4 once the open at startup. Well like steam does.
Pink tinted screen using DLSS Frame Generation in Doom: The Dark Ages
Enabling DLSS Frame Generation in Doom: The Dark Ages results in the screen becoming pink tinted in-game and on the title screen (not the Settings menu). Happens with Proton Experimental, Proton Hotfix and the latest GE-Proton. Is this a known issue?
Specs: Ryzen 5800X3D, 32GB DDR4, GeForce RTX 4080 Super using driver 575.64.03...
GRUB oopsie
Yo, I wanted to give GRUB a theme, heard GRUB Customizer is no good and found this tutorial linked in the Bazzite channel in the past ( https://universal-blue.discourse.group/t/grub-theming-guide-for-silverblue-ublue/370)
The issue is, GRUB worked with a theme for one use, I realized the theme I chose didnt fit my resolution properly and I didn't like the way it looked, but I noticed my Windows Boot Manager option was missing during that first bootup. I deleted the first theme, added a second and reconfigured the grub file (/etc/default/grub) to the correct theme.
This is where it gets weird though, reconfiguring grub config shows it recognizes the new theme and recognizes my Windows install. However when I reboot, I get an error message saying it can't find my old theme, and theres no Windows option in the grub menu. Whatever grub the ujust command configures isnt the grub I'm seeing when I reboot I've concluded and I have no idea how to get back....
Installing with Sapphire Pulse 550
I've been wanting to try Bazzite, so I unboxed my old PC to test with, and I can't get display output after selecting install on the USB boot.
I think the problem is compatibility with the GPU, but from searching the discord a bit it doesn't look like people have particular issues with Sapphire.
The card is a Sapphire Pulse RX 550 (or it might not be RX? I can't check without loading a different OS onto it.)...
is it safe to move and delete these partitions
hi i created my bazzite partition on a drive with a shrunk ntfs partition which I now want to get rid of so I can expand the btrfs drive to the entire drive but I just wanted to be sure about the process, attached is a screenshot from my Linux partition so I think I shouldleave the fat32 efi partition untouched delete the ntfs partition move the ext4 partition and then expand the btrfs partition, correct?

Installing and using strongswan
I need to create IKEv2 or L2TP connection for my work tunnel, so i installed strongswan using brew. It installed without error, but also without strongswan-nm dependency which must add gui options. Trying to edit strongswan formulae with parameter --enable-nm leads to nothing, still without any options in gui.
Any ways to install strongswan with gui without touching rpm-ostree?...
Wifi not working on fresh install
Im dual botting,fast boot is turned off and onboard wifi works perfectly on windows, purchased a tplink AX1750 Nano adapter and that doesnt seem to be working too. I would appreciate any pointers or suggestions (im new to using linux).

Black Screen in Installer
Trying to install bazzite into my Ryzen 5 + RX580 mITX build. When I boot to the installer and choose to install, some text pops up on the screen and then I just get a black screen. Been sitting here for about 10 minutes x2. Is this normal?

i dont know what happened, but my desktop wallpaper and panels won't save after a reboot/logout/switch to game mode. can anyone help?
Custom keyboard layouts
New to Linux - please be patient with me :]
I'm considering dual-booting Bazzite on my laptop (haven't installed anything yet), but I use a custom keyboard layout, specifically a variant of Colemak. The place I got the layout from only has files for Windows, and using this keyboard layout is very important to me. So, does Bazzite have support for adding new keyboard layouts? If yes, how would it be installed, and what would be the best way to find/create an installation file for my specific layout?...
DP audio not working from Nvidia 4060Ti
looking for some help. Switch from Windows. I got games from steam and such are working great. The issue is audio over DP is not. I do have an engineering background but this is kicking my butt. I see the nvidia audio hdmi installed. Stats of the machine can be viewed here https://paste.centos.org/view/d70386d7. I see that my intel device is there but it is denied access. However I am not using that device.
