Crashing while playing
I'm constantly crashing while playing, and it forces my entire computer to shut down. I'd love to play, but I can't deal with random crashing.
These are my Specs:
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU
CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13620H...
Cave location problem
hey have a problem. I started a new save and every cave location is showing on my gps. is there any way to fix this?
Importing Local Host Player to Dedicated Server
Hey guys, maybe someone can help. My friends and me have a Game hosted by me where played quite a while. Now we wanted to try some mods and it's not working properly. Due to that one possible solution might be a dedicated server.
The Server runs fine by now and I managed to put on our savegame. But I was not able to add my character to it. This is what I tried several times:
1. Joining the Server with a new Character.
2. Replacing the new Player...-Files in the SaveData.zip with those from the Savegame.
3. Make new Zip and join again....
The game stays on the loading screen and closes suddenly
Hello, when I tried to enter the game today, I entered the game and clicked on the game save I bought yesterday, the name Sons of the Forest started to fill in and when I reached the halfway point, I got the Unity Crash Handler error and my game suddenly closed, please help me.
Dedicated server not showing up on LAN
Was following a guide, (https://hub.tcno.co/games/sotf/server/), and have tried joining my server from sotf but it doesn't show up, I have also tried direct joining.
Important things to note are, I am running the server on another computer, it is a Windows VM on mac (VMWare), but I am using the IPs and stuff from inside windows, and the network adapter setting is set to "Wi-Fi" (it gives it its own ip)
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if the guide I'm following is outdated, can anyone help?
update: we discovered that putting all of our computers on ethernet solves the problem, it doesn't seem to transfer over our network for some reason(?) we don't know why. leaving this here in case anyone has a similar problem...
Files changed in dedicated server revert to default
so I (totally my friend not me) accidentally killed Kelvin...ive tried to spawn another and ive tried to get rid of his body. I finally just decided ill go into the game file and set his dead line to false. however, every time i do and i re-upload the zip file to the server, it reverts to default and removes all progress. Ive tried downloading it then changing. ive also tried editing it from the server panel then zipping it. Any suggestions would be help as we never realized how much we needed h...

How can I remove NPC (Timmy) from my save?
Yes, I tried the console command and advanced the story mode, sadly I believe this is gonna ruin the game experience (He's inmortal, kills enemies and kinda makes the game boring) .
I tried removing all living beings but still not worked....

Building bug has ruined my joy :(
Hi everyone. I've hit a building bug in the game and can't find a fix online 😦 I've been playing for a few weeks and have built a huge base, and suddenly I can't place blueprints anywhere, can't dismantle a lot of things, blueprint platforms are glitched with no legs and parts don't click together anymore. I'm unsure what's happened.. Anyone else experience this and maybe have a solution? It's a Multiplayer Hosted server, and i didn't make multiple saves 😦

How can I collect berries because the only option displayed is to eat them and I want to collect them how? In the forest
RedModManager not showing my mods installed.
Yesterday I installed about 35 mods using redmod manager, and it installed redloader and required files etc.
All works brilliantly in game, all mods show in game, no issues. However I want to delete a specific mod, and going to redmod manager it shows nothing is installed - been like this since used it and I just thought was a bug.
Is it possible to just manually delete the mod from the mods folder? Cheers...

Can you build a wall around the Cannibals to stop them from trying to raid you?
If you disable construction damage and then build a defensive wall ring around the camp of the cannibals. Are they still gonna be able to get to you or leave the camp?
Transferring world but keeping player save
The current owner of the world does not play often enough so we want to change the host to someone else. I know that you can transfer the world save to somebody else but while doing some research online I found a post that said the new host would get get the player save from the old host if we were to do this. Is this true? If so is there a way to avoid it? (beyond just using cheats to manually recreate each inventory) or would each player still just keep the exact player save that they had on t...
Repair tool crafting recipe broken?
Is the recipe removed? A stick + rock + rope is not working. This is on latest unmoded SOTF custom setup like hard survival with long days/years

Me and my friend were playing a normal world and we got to day 20 something and then it skipped to 200 and then to 666 and we just now got the pickaxe is this a bug or the game does it on purpose?
