rendering in davivinci with a 4070

For some reason when I render a video in resolve it makes the size of file 20gb even though its only 30minutes. The options I had were mp4 h265 and the quality set as auto with best selected In dropdown. There the same settings I used with my 5700xt but with the 4070 the files come out big....

obs mic gets louder when i go live.

So sort of a weird issue. I have no filters for my mic in obs besides a limiter at -1db, everything else is done outside obs. I do all my mic levels and settings when not live, get it all where I want it...then i go live it's and about 4-5db louder. So then i need to turn my mic down while I'm live. I don't understand why this happens....

Resolve Hard Crashing when dragging one timeline into another

This one of those weirder bugs where whenever I drag one timeline into another even if I have no videos in both timelines, resolve Hard crashes like no Oops Sorry resolve crashed it freezes then crashes entirely. I'm running Windows 11 Pro so that shouldn't be the issue....

How to fix this?

Really don't know even how to google this...So I have 2pc connected via avermedia capture card(s) and after I start fullscreen game this happens to my tray icons on main game PC. reloading explorer.exe fix it (or rebooting main pc). capture card and gaming monitor has the same resolution. I am on windows 10.

Switching data from an older AMD system to a Intel system

I was plannning on giving my mom my old pc since her pc is a peice of crap, her PC is an AMD A10-7800 and the system I will be giving her is a Intel i7-8700. I was hoping I could just throw in her 1tb HDD that has all her stuff on it into the Intel system. Will this work? I know its probably not optimal but will there be any big roadblocks doing this?

New MOBO has no line in, which i used to use for console audio.

Can I use either the mic or line out on the back of my mobo in the same way somehow? Probably sounds stupid but i wanna know if i can use it in the way of having a 3.5 going from moniter into one to hear console audio like i used to do.

Moving from X264 to HEVC

TLDR Currently recording at X264 14 @ 1440P (should be 17 i know) and want to know the equivalent of HEVC for 1440P or recommendations. Also rendering out with Vegas using Voukoder CRF/CQP should i still render out to X264 or change that to HEVC there as well? Hey guys so while i want to use AV1 im not willing to go next gen and theres no cheap intel cards here yet im thinking of moving to HEVC for space savings for recordings due to going from 1080P to 1440P. Right now im using X264 at CQP14 which was a leftover of my old 1080p settings instead of 17 for 1440P (which i should change to 17 if im going to keep using this) After recording i then remux the file to MP4 so Vegas can read it and then render it out using the voukoder plugin, so i can render out again using CRF or CQP (i tend to render with the CPU not minding the wait times) Question is what number should i use if i go with HEVC to keep up with mostly the same quality with a bit of space savings and is there any disadvantage using HEVC over X264 and just wait to go to AV1 instead?...

wierd hiccup

Hvenc or x264?

I currently have a dedicated streaming pc and I’m trying to decided on what hardware is the best for encoding on twitch. I have a Ryzen 5600x and a 1050ti with a elgato 4k60pro mk.2.I also have a 980 laying around but I doubt it would be better. I’m wondering what would be my best option for the best streaming quality for twitch at 6k bitrate! X264 slow-fast Or Hvenc slowest - (Single pass - Full resolution) Any help would be appreciated!...

Keychron K8 Pro Cable connection issues

Get ready for a weird one. I been experiencing issues with my keyboard as early as a week ago. usb cable direct into my pc (or laptop etc) does not function. windows device manager sees it but says unknown descriptor failed etc. however, my Gigabyte M28U has a built in KVM switch and plugging it into that monitor it works fine without issues. ...

Avermedia GC573 Capture card and PS5: Loud buzzing noise when the ps5 audio is set to DTS or dolby?

So recently for some reason my capture card is giving out a really loud buzzing noise when I tried to capture PS5 footage in DTS audio. The weird part is that DTS was FINE to use before, but not anymore apparently. This buzzing noise started yesterday. (ONLY on the capture card footage though!, my TV and sound bar are both fine) I've tested with a bunch of other systems and they were all fine with their audio too. Just not the ps5 (HDCP is off too) but I though maaaybe the 25' HDMI cable wasn't working properly, so I bought another one and tested just now. Same result. So now I can only think its either the ps5 or the capture card itself. I dont understand why the capture card doesnt want to work with DTS anymore though...Did anyone else had this weird loud buzzing noise scenario before?...

GeForce Now Ceases to Use Steam Deck Contols (Linux)

As stated in the title, for some reason, GeForce Now just refuses to use my Deck's gamepad controls. Even connecting a BT pad does nothing. Tried using the Electron app, as well as all the browsers from Flatpak. No dice.

Audio balancing on my Stream

Hello everyone, I was just hoping to get thoughts on how i have my audio balanced. My twitch profile is linked to my discord, my Vod name "Live!! Chivalry 2 patch notes and rants") I want to preserve dynamics but also not have anything too extreme. My last stream on my twitch page, time stamp 42:00-44:00; I talk over the game (the game audio ducks when i talk), then you hear gameplay by itself and I do a sound drop close to the 44 mark. I want all the details of the game heard clearly when I'm not talking, but have the duck not be too jarring when I do talk etec. ...
