How do I disable the Action Bar Notification

Appears above hotbar. Says "DH Gen/Import: <n> chunks Estimated Time: 1 <time>". I'm assuming this is just an update on distant generation progress? The message basically just sits there indefinitely as I have quite a bit of time left. Side questions: Currently I have LOD set at 512 chunks so I assume it wouldn't be doing more than 1024*1024=1,048,576, but the number of chunks is greater than that. Also, it only shows me estimated time 1. Is there a time 2, 3, etc for different things in queue? Perhaps other dimensions? Thanks a million....

LOD distance

i'm just interested how far could you generate LODs on mid-low tier PC without lagging? is it like 2k blocks? 4k blocks? 10k blocks? let's assume low-mid quality preset how long would it take to load 10k X 10k blocks of LODs for a mid-tier PC? ...

Zip File Instead Of Java File

Any idea why 1.21.4 downloads as a zip file and not as a java file?
Solution:
because it's the container for the nightly builds. extract the zip and you'll find the jars for both fabric and neoforge in it

What does this mean?

Just wanted to ask what this meant and why its gonna take over 3 hours, this is on a brand new world. The version used is the release candidate 3 that I just added to all the mods 3

Server-Side Not Working

The download instructions are unclear. Do I need a hybrid server capable of using both mods and plugins? I have tried Paper with the server side plugin did not work. I have tried Fabric with the same mod on client's and server's /mods folder...
Solution:
I don't know why it did not work before, but after restarting the server it now works. For anyone with the same problem, make sure: 1. Fabric's server.jar file (not server.jar from minecraft's download page) 2. Same Distant Horizons jar in client and server mods/ folder (Downloaded from pinned "Server-side support" on Discord's server "help me" page) 3. Start/Restart server...

Is there any way to avoid the "Too many queued chunks" warning?

Is there any way to avoid the "Too many queued chunks" warning? How big of an issue is that warning? I'm only using around 5-6% of my RAM. I cannot use Distant Generation for the map I'm rendering sadly, it'll just show the world seed, not the custom map... 2.2.1a I'd like to fly around a lot and wait for an ~hour, not every 5 minutes gotta fly wait fly wait, etc... They render completely fine without shaders on, and none of my active mods have incompatibility with DH.

Older versions question

Me and my friends want to play on a 1.17 or 18 minecraft server (nothing newer, we dont like the new stuff). I would like to have lods and preferably shaders as well. I just want it for my screen, everything is just normal for them. now theres a ton of versions for iris, dh, and everything else and honestly im kinda lost. my question is, number 1, is this even possible on a server in 1.18 or earlier, and if so, what sort of old versions of iris and dh do i have to get, or do the newer ones suppo...

Server-side generation question: LODs vs chunks

Team, I've been following the server-side generation threads and am eager to start testing it in my server. But before doing so, can you please help me understand a few technical details? Will the server only generate LODs but not actual chunks? I'm asking that because I'm wondering what happens when the server is upgraded and i.e. a new biome (read the Pale Garden) is introduced. If the chunks were generated the upgrade will have no effect. If only the LODs were generated, the new terrain will generated after the upgrade when users visit it and I expect the LODs to eventually update to reflect that too....

Distant horizons and BMC2

I know that distant horizons doesn't work with all mods, so I was just wondering if there has been any success with using distant horizons with BMC2 FORGE, 1.18.2. I installed compatable shaders, and the distant horizons button next to FOV is there, but the LODs aren't rendering. Is this a mod-compatability issue?

Do you guys use anti-aliasing in minecraft with distant horizons?

from an elevated perspective the terrain look so noisy, they dont look like what youtube videos show it to be, i tried to increase the quality preset to the max but it still looks noisy
Solution:
If you want it without shaders you could try a shader that only adds AA, or use the QDAA mod

[DHS] /dh command not registered and conflicts

I'm using the latest DHS version and /dh does not exist. Using /plugman usage DHSupport also says "No commands registered". May I also suggest registering /dhs and/or /dhsupport because /dh conflicts with DecentHolograms. I have DHS 0.7.0 installed on 1.20.4 and 1.21.4 servers and they both exhibit the same result....

[DHS] Mismatched server and client versions

Client and server's MC versions must match (within ranges allowed by the same mod file).
I was curious what the technical reason was for having matching server and client versions of MC. Do the LODs have version-specific data in them dependent on the MC version? I figured it would be governed by the DH version instead....
