elden ring on linux trying to render dx12 instead of dxvk

anyone get smelden ring working straight from heroic launcher? White screen then crashes

You dont get it in proton ge since its enabled by default If you need more help you will have to post logs and maybe someone will see whats wrong, however proton doesnt really give good logs, so you might be better off switching to wine-ge

Ive never played elden ring outside of steam. It works perfectly there. For reference tho: proton isnt exactly meant to be used outside of steam so you can run into issues

I think this wont work because of Anti-cheat. I think you can try to run a different EXE if there is any and enable EAC runtime on Heroic. Although I am not sure Elden ring use those runtimes

Elden ring works in steam, no problems, its in fact one of the steam deck games that was advertised by valve at some point 4ce should probably post the game log from heroic.. but proton wont have much 4ce, id also do what term suggested and update your proton ge to something recent, if you are going to continue using proton
