Fortnite crashes a few seconds after reaching the loading screen.

Honestly I'm just really mad, considering my internet connection is hot garbage and I still haven't played the new update after 2 days. I'm going to flip if I need to download a driver, help?

it doesn't really give me any info when it crashes, fortnite has 2 loading screens, one is connecting and the other is preloading and connecting

I'd recommend verifying your game files. Some people on the Legendary discord had the same issue, turns out some game files were corrupted by the update & it re-downloaded about 3MB of files (so even something a "hot garbage" connection should be able to handle)

oh alright, yeah basically our provider is funky and recently I've been experiencing stupid low download speeds since a few days ago (literally 3kbs per second during firefox downloads) so yeah

So how long is repairing the game supposed to taje? I've been staring at the screen for 10 minutes now, and to add insult to injury, as always the progress bar started at 51, so I have no clue if there's no progress or the 51% is covering the progress up

Still repairing, also, I never understood the deal with 51%, literally every repair, download, update and install starts at that number, and sometimes just kinda freezes until the end, are you dudes aware of this bug?

We're aware that it is happening, we (or at least I) just have no idea why. It's something with how we store the progress when cancelling & resuming these operations, but beyond that, I've never looked into it further
Seems to exclusively happen on Fortnite though
