Steam deck—Cannot install games from GOG

As in the title, I am trying to install games from GOG on my steam deck using HGL, but when I press download button it tries forever to acquire the download size of the files and I cannot start downloading. Anyone else experienced such a thing? I am using Steam OS and the newest version of flatpak HGL. HGL reinstall solution from FAQ didn't work. Here's my log: https://paste.debian.net/1264481

if you have a github account, try this: - go https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/heroic-gogdl/actions/runs/3399603333 - download the binary clicking in gogdl-Windows - set that as an alternative gogdl binary in heroic's advanced settings that will probably fix some problems (not all though because it's an older version of gogdl, but maybe it works fine for the games you want to install), we are currently working on a solution for that problem

Thanks for the quick answer! Unfortunately, this temporary solution is not working on my side. Looking forward to the next update!

what was the error? looks like paste.debian is not valid anymore also shouldn't that be gogdl-Linux?

yes, gogdl-Linux 🤦‍♂️ from the description, the issue was the same one I was having, gogdl failed to get the download info because it was failing to run with the python error (though that error doesn't show up directly in heroic) I think my steps to test the binary were incorrect, the steps would be: - downlad the gogdl-linux zip - unzip - give the gogdl file execution permissions - THEN set it as an alternative binary

Thanks for the correction. I dis as you wrote above. I've got no error in the log, but the download size still cannot be acquired and thus I cannot downlaod any game from gog.
