RMaybe the main question is does @questionablehypothesis want to spend his time and money on an ongoing project and learning experience, or end up quite soon with a working ffb joystick of decent quality. It’s easy to start on the ‘cheap’ route and end up with sunk cost when the better option would be ‘buy once, cry once’.

PSome of us aren't "down with discord", I am only here because I have no other choice, will take a punt I am not alone with that either, I will of course try to refrain from upsetting the hardcore discord experts, no sarcasm intended or meant.
RDoes discord allow making the welcome page direct people to the faq first rather than general? Or a custom message saying ‘please check out the faq then come chat in general’ or something along those lines?

DOh please. You're not fooling anyone. I'm also here for 1 reason, to get a Rhino base. I'm no discord expert. But you were smart enough to figure out how to be here. Yet you cant take 5 minutes once you're here to look around before spewing already answered questions into general chat. I just call it like I see it buddy.
DThere is from what I've experienced on other servers but I haven't the slightest idea how to set it up. I think it might have been Combat Box that makes you check a "yes role" before they grant you access to all other channels (stating you read rules, etc)
