Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition from GOG

I'm trying to run Fallout on Debian 11 with a Quadro K2200. Most Steam games run fine. The only game I've successfully run with Heroic so far is Quake. When I launch Fallout, I get a dialog that says it's going to detect my video card, then it immediately crashes. I've tried with Proton and with two versions of WINE (6.21 and the latest available). What should I try next? Game log follows (failed to post when I attached it as file):

Try using Wine-GE-Proton7-35 (you can install it through heroic's Wine Manager in the sidebar), it might give you better logs

Here's the log after switching to Wine-GE=Proton7-35:

this doesn't look good DXVK: No adapters found. Please check your device filter settings and Vulkan setup. what's your OS? looks like it's missing some vulkan stuff

try this thing, uncheck the DXVK and VKD3D options in heroic, let it uninstall DXVK, then go to the game's settings > winetricks > and install an older version of DXVK (less than V 2) and try again I think the problem is heroic is installing DXVK 2 and it requires vulkan 1.3, but your graphics card supports vulkan 1.2 if I understand that message correctly

I poked around winetricks, but I don't see anything about vulkan or dxvk.

hmmm it should be there, do WINETRICKS > make sure default prefix is selected > Ok > select Install a windows dll or component > Ok > you should see dxvk in that list > pick the latest less than version 2 > Ok > wait for it to install > Cancel until winetricks closes

Actually, Just unchecking the DXVK & VKD3D boxes in the game settings alone seems to have gotten me farther. I can get into the game menus now, but it wasn't recognizing my XBox 360 controller, so I'm going to troubleshoot that before I go farther. I did find the dxvk dlls, though. I'll come back to that. Odd. My controller works in Steam, and it works in Quake launched via Heroic, but it's not working in Heroic or in Fallout. I have to get up early, though, so I'm going to stop messing with it for tonight. I played Fallout 76 a bit today with mouse and keyboard and it ran fine. Can't wait till I figure out how to get the controller working!
