fallout new vegas ultimate edition crashes
friend who let me borrow their steam library ghosted me unfriended me blocked me and reverted family sharing access so i got new vegas on epic games for free because im a f2p and i have no money or allowance
launch the game
the launcher shows up
i click play
it freezes on the obsidian entertainment screen
please help me

this is the only way i can play this game apart from just cracking my steam installation
which will be probably be my last resort
also if anyone gifted it it would have to be the pcr version because my save file is in the cloud
and the "friend" who gave their library to me was russian
and i cant buy the pcr version because im in america
and i dont have a vpn

or its just a black screen

hmmm looks like you have a kinda bad GPU, try disabling the DXVK and VKD3D options to see if that makes it work (but will have bad performance)
another thing you can try is to use Winetricks to install some older version of DXVK and see if that helps (game settings > winetricks > default prefix > install dll or component > look for older 1.x versions of DXVK and install the latest for example)

@arieljuod when i get it working how would i install all of my mods
just plop every esp or esm in painfully
i set the wineprefix to the one pn my steam install of fallout
launcher opens
i clicked play and it hasnt crashed yet
